I have finally been defeated. It is a defeat by no physical being but of the mind, complacency have gotten the better of me. From a average of 18/30 to a 13/30, the feeling is like a crushing defeat from a war of survival. This has made me ponder if my techniques of last minute study is playing a role in the outcome... once again i am left to ponder...

Quote/s of the day:

"Be confident, but don't let complacency get the better of you..."

Since i am so tired tonight. I don't have a quote today, so heres a humble poem by yours truly M.yong...

World

Good times,
Pass like a gust of wind,
Yet the bad times,
Slow and torturing.
For whom is it to blame?

Weal and woe, worlds apart,
Yet can be share,
But who would want to share,
The pain & joy,
For whom is it to blame?

Intelligence and stupidity,
Which you want to be?
A choice or a must,
Can we change who we are?
Why?
Can the world be one...

Getting a "hangover" from the late nights and waking up early. Not really in for a quote at the moment... so stay tune tonight for the quote of the day/night.

I just cheated death today, on the way to back home from kranji i slipped upon a rock & my bike went on to the road... Luckily the nearest vehicle heading in my way is about 50m away.. if i were to fall on the road about 1 min before where traffic was heavy, i guess wouldn't be here blogging... Phew...
For todays quote i got shawn to write me 1...

Had a rather meaniningful day at the disabled home from 10am - 4.30 pm
Even though we skipped lunch, i guess its quite worth it.
After which we( Sky, Adrian, Hui Keng, Hui Yu, Valerie, Lin Hui & me) stuff our faces at sakae sushi at west mall.
Sky, Adrian & i ate almost 70 plates in total... woot ( super full...)

The Cip trip gave me inspiration for a new quote.

Quote/s of the day:

"CIP is not just another chore which we moan about"
It have 3 advangtages;
1st : You would get the cip hours needed
2nd : You would feel a sense of satisfaction just by seeing the smiles upon the faces of those we helped
3rd : You can have fun while helping them"

eien?
the sad teen. Everything in life is f*ckin'
miserable. You constantly look over your
shoulder and wonder who is judging you...even
when you are alone. So naturally, you have
become a little paranoid and pessamistic. Your
personality can be one demensional but
confusing. You are constantly bored with life
and wish that something could spice it up. You
have a unique view on life and have identified
the problems with school society (Ex...what
makes popular people, how the student mind
works...) You would rather be alone because you
hate being hurt. You tend to think that no one
understands you, not even your parents /
guardians / friends. But that is just the
opposite! The people who love you want to
help, but they don't know how because they have
a feeling that they will say something wrong
and turn you away. You have to let them know
that you are willing to hear what they have to
say...and it might do some good to listen to
them.

Some fields you might consider going
in when you are older...Judge, author,
songwriter, producer, therapist, psychologist,
philosopher, or forensic scientist. You need a
job where you can express yourself and your
views on life. Or you need a field where you
can judge others and predict what is going on
in others life. Either way... you have the
personality to get you a good job that will
support you throughout life.

What type of teenager are you?

You are one of the most balanced people around
Motivated and focused, you are good at getting what you want
You rule at success, but success doesn't rule you.
When it's playtime, you really know how to kick backWhether it's hanging out with friends or doing something you love!
You live life to the fullest - encorporating the best of both worlds
Do You Have a Type A Personality?

Took some time off studying & i came across this site which is kinda interesting and helpful to the peeps studyin. Hope it helps...

CONCENTRATION- SOME BASIC GUIDELINES

1. Set aside a place for study and study only!

A. Find a specific place (or places) that you can use for studying (for example, the campus libraries, vacant classrooms, quiet areas in the student center, bedroom at home, etc.)

B. Make a place specific to studying. You are trying to build a habit of studying when you are in this place. So, don't use your study space for social conversations, writing letters, daydreaming, etc.

C. Insure that your study area has the following:
good lighting
ventilation
a comfortable chair, but not too comfortable
a desk large enough to spread out your materials

D. Insure that your study area does not have the following:
a distracting view of other activities that you want to be involved in
a telephone
a loud stereo
a 27-inch color TV
a roommate or friend who wants to talk a lot
a refrigerator stocked with scrumptious goodies

2. Divide your work into small, short-range goals.

A. Don't set a goal as vague and large as ... "I am going to spend all day Saturday studying!" You will only set yourself up for failure and discouragement.

B. Take the time block that you have scheduled for study and set a reachable study goal. (for example: finish reading 3 sections of chapter seven in my Psych. text, or complete one math problem, or write the rough draft of the introduction to my English paper, etc.)

C. Set your goal when you sit down to study but before you begin to work.

Set a goal that you can reach. You may, in fact, do more than your goal but set a reasonable goal even if it seems too easy.

To kick start my late day( woke up at 12.)
Heres some fact & fiction...

Fact & Fiction

Fiction: People who don't study can achieve excellent grades...

Fact: In order to achieve good grades, effort is still needed(no matter how slight)...

Don't bum around and wait for things to happen, instead be proactive & make things happen....

Not 1 of the best day experience, waking up at 8.45 when there is a mock test at 9. Not exactly the best thing to do. Time flies fast... Its already a mid week once again. Tests around the corner, better get down to some serious work.

"Real" Life

As my eyes open to the break of dawn
A new page, a new chapter
An unsullied life lies before me
Yet a veiled force seems to exist
Crafting bitterness in this plain novel

Voices causing frantic and trauma
Living each day in confusion and torment
Till the day where a guiding beam would
Lead me to freedom
And free me from such unbearable agony
But who will salvage me from such pain
All lies in another page of anguish

But who would listen to ones contemptuous grief?
Even a bed of blooming flowers would wither upon the sight of the repulsion
Each & every stalk fades away leaving bitter memories to reflect upon
For whom are these to be blame?
All lays a mystery till the flip of a new chapter once again

(Since i got a blog now, i shall post my 1st ever poem)

Quote/s of the day

"TIME is 1 thing that u can never RECYCLE"
